Our client, a leader in the process industry, is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to support the development and implementation of automation and manufacturing systems for highly critical treatment for cancer and other threatening illnesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualise and plan automation and manufacturing IT systems in the process industry, with a focus on regulated sectors like pharmaceuticals.
- Develop electrical, I&C, and automation concepts based on project-specific process plant designs and process engineering requirements.
- Prepare specifications and tender documents for hardware, instrumentation, and automation components, including bid comparison and, if required, technical award recommendations.
- Program automation systems as needed.
- Create and edit automation documentation using market-standard user software systems.
- Support well-known customers with acceptance tests, installations, commissioning, and qualification processes when necessary.
- Report and document activities in line with specifications.
Your Profile:
- Completed technical training or degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a related field.
- Relevant professional experience in comparable roles, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry and/or in the installation and servicing of process systems.
- Solid knowledge of standard hardware (electrical, instrumentation, and automation components) and associated software (control systems, SCADA, DCS), such as Simatic Batch and PCS7.
- Preferably, experience in programming automation and visualisation systems, including commissioning.
- Basic knowledge of industrial IT/OT is advantageous.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
- Independent, reliable, and able to work both in a team and under pressure.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and entrepreneurial skills, with a proactive attitude.
- Proficiency in written and spoken German and English.
- Willingness to travel, mainly within the D/A/CH region.
