Location: Pacoima, CA
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
Company Profile: An innovative manufacturing leader in the beauty industry is seeking a skilled Buyer to join their growing team. This Buyer will have excellent analytical and negotiation skills and will collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure products are available on time. The Buyer Will Be Responsible for the Following:
- Create and maintain vendor relationships, including contract terms, product/shipping costs, exclusivity, and exist to support financial targets and strategy
- Prepare purchase orders, verify specifications and prices, contact vendors for quotations, and follow up on outstanding orders
- Review and analyze inventory, maintain computer-based purchase order information, and assess market and delivery systems for material availability
- Liaise with Sales, Project Managers, and R&D teams on new product developments, and incoming materials status
- Provide purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
The Buyer Should Have the Following Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Around 3-5 years of experience in beauty buying or personal care; preferably in color cosmetics
- Experience with contract manufacturing, vendor management, MPI, and negotiation
- Ability to perform complex functions with Excel and Google Sheets
