Job Summary: A dynamic manufacturing client is looking to bring on a purchasing expert responsible for cutting and issuing purchase orders, as well as managing process. This role aims to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement and Order Management: Purchase materials/services, initiate purchase orders, and ensure timely receipt and allocation to production.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and alignment with production/project schedules.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to improve cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Perform data analysis, support management reporting of KPIs, and maintain accurate lead time data.
- Issue Resolution and Negotiation: Resolve GR/IR issues, support supplier corrective actions, and negotiate with suppliers.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement projects, utilize Lean concepts, and track planning KPIs.
- ERP System Utilization: Coordinate and execute planning activities using the Infor LN ERP system and ensure accurate information in the material master.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in complex purchasing or procurement environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and supply chain management software.
- Lean Six-Sigma experience (preferred)
- Power-BI and Tableau experience (preferred)
