Our client, an industry-leading manufacturing company based in Germany and are seeking a skilled and experienced Category Manager to join their team. With over 20 years of experience producing high-quality products, our client prides themselves on delivering innovative solutions within the manufacturing industry.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow supplier relationships, whilst managing supplier performances.
- Purchasing metals and electronic components.
- reporting directly into the Director of Procurement
- Negotiate contracts with Vendors/Suppliers whilst considering cost reduction strategies where possible.
Qualifications
- strong communication skills both written and verbal, advanced or fluent German is preferred.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree qualification, ideally in a related field.
- 5+ years experience in Procurement/Purchasing.
- previously history of Negotiation and cost saving initiatives.
