DSJ Global is currently partnered with a Global Fortune 200 Manufacturing Company who is looking to expand its team with a newly created Controls Engineer. This candidate will be responsible for process improvement, cost reduction, and capital expansion projects for control systems.
In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Assist on capital projects <$1M Budget
- Programming and installation of automation systems and interfacing with other factory control systems including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, drives, and computers
- Assist in electrical design practices
- Design, configure, and implement HMI programming
- Work in conjunction with the Maintenance team and assist with continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead risk assessments on equipment
- Perform general electrical troubleshooting and downtime support to maintenance and operations teams
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
The Controls Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Electrical Engineering degree required
- Minimum of 2 years engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Experienced with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen Bradley)
- Knowledge of NEC code & safety
