Job Title: Director Contract Manufacturing Procurement
Location: King of Prussia, PA
Company Overview: A leading, global biopharma company is looking for a procurement professional to join their team and help shape the large molecule and vaccine drug substances from their external network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage ongoing contracts with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) for both commercial production and late-phase clinical products.
- Analyze market trends to benchmark the CMO landscape, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Work cross functionally with key internal stakeholders on business strategy.
- Set financial budgets for contract manufacturing, incorporating pricing negotiations and volume forecasting.
- Establish and monitor CMO performance metrics, promoting continuous improvement.
- Deliver contracts that emphasize value creation, critical terms, and effective cost control.
- Maintain procurement policies and compliance standards, including third-party risk management.
- Lead and develop a team of category managers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, procurement or a relevant technical field.
- 8+ years' experience in global procurement and management.
- Experience within the BioPharma space with large molecule and vaccine CMO's.
- Experience leading and managing a team.
- Masters degree- preferred.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external networks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with Strong project and change management skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
