My client, a leading Food Manufacturing organization, is seeking an ambitious and driven Director of Materials Management & Vendor Integration. Reporting to the Senior Director of Supply Chain and SIOP, this role offers an opportunity to hone your lean materials and leadership skills, playing a crucial role in the company's success.
Responsibilities:
- Implement lean processes across the organization's Supply Chain.
- Lead site SIOP processes, annual macro planning, and lean maturity initiatives.
- Conduct kaizen events, tiered accountability audits, visual controls, and leader standard work.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Supply Chain Strategy to set the vision and goals for continuous improvement.
- Influence people and processes to achieve lean goals, lead value stream mapping, and drive efficiency.
- Partner with the organization's business units to deploy lean materials and advanced planning tools.
- Oversee business transformation and change management to sustain lean maturity.
- Enhance lean front-end business processes and supplier integration strategies.
- Impact inventory planning and reporting within the organization's SIOP Process.
- Develop standard metrics and reports using Visual and Atlas, ensuring standard work at the site.
- Balance supply and demand over an 18-month horizon and drive results on the SIOP Maturity Model.
- Own the Systems master scheduling, production planning, warehouse, receiving, and shipping operations, focusing on safety, lean material flow, and continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive working environment and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop your team's skills and capabilities for internal progression and succession.

Specific Duties:
- Define the vision and drive strategy for inventory planning, optimization, and execution.
- Lead transformation initiatives and deploy the organization's ISC standard work.
- Provide leadership and structure to the Systems business by developing and executing standard work.
- Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and process excellence.
- Develop a team of highly skilled planning professionals.
- Set policies around service level strategies with the business.
- Manage relationships with customers, suppliers, and planning teams.
- Conduct lean audits and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Optimize material flow through lean and visual controls.
- Utilize and deploy best practices for standardized processes and global visibility.
- Collaborate to achieve inventory turn goals and apply the organization's best practices.
- Support data analytics and supply chain performance metrics.
- Conduct kaizen and continuous improvement events with key suppliers.
- Interact and influence internal customers effectively.
- Demonstrate problem-solving, conflict resolution, and change agent skills.
- Manage multiple priorities and meet project objectives.
- Exhibit excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years' experience in Lean/Six Sigma, Supply, Production Planning, Materials Management, or SIOP with leadership experience
- 5 years of experience leading global lean implementation, driving customer on-time delivery, supplier on-time delivery, and inventory results
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- APICS, CPIM, CPSM, or CPF certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications
- Experience with SAP ERP systems, specifically planning screens, t-codes, etc.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, and Demantra is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and delegate efficiently
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external customers
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean certification
- Experience in building organizational capabilities and succession planning
- Demonstrated results and bias for action
- Experience leading cross-functional materials boot camps with collaborative training
- Experience linking physical and information flow to digital systems
