Position Overview:
The Director of Supply Chain will oversee and optimize the company's entire supply chain operations, from sourcing and procurement to distribution and logistics. This role requires a highly strategic leader who can manage complex systems, lead cross-functional teams, and work closely with senior leadership to drive efficiency, cost savings, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline supply chain operations, reduce costs, and increase overall efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of supply chain professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Supplier & Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers. Ensure optimal sourcing and timely delivery of products.
- Forecasting & Inventory Management: Oversee inventory management processes to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and prevent stockouts.
- Logistics & Distribution: Optimize logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery to customers while minimizing costs. Manage relationships with transportation partners and distribution centers.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including disruptions, delays, and cost fluctuations.
- Data & Analytics: Utilize data-driven insights to inform decisions on supply chain strategy, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Budget Management: Manage the supply chain budget and track expenditures to meet financial goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as procurement, manufacturing, sales, and customer service to ensure a seamless and efficient end-to-end supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain best practices, logistics, and procurement processes.
- Proven track record of optimizing supply chain operations and driving cost savings.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
- Experience with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
