Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to provide electrical engineering support for production operations and the continuous improvement of machine and equipment controls. This is a dynamic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our electrical engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serves as an electrical engineering expert, providing support to Maintenance Technicians in troubleshooting machine control issues when additional expertise is required.
- Oversees machine and equipment upgrade projects, including investigations, cost estimates, installations, and start-up activities. This encompasses both expense and capital upgrade projects.
- Acquires proficiency in the operation, control structure/design, and hardware of new capital equipment to enhance maintenance support and implementation.
- Assists Project Engineering with equipment installation, checkout, start-up, and training as needed.
- Ensures adherence to industry standards and actively seeks to improve and implement safety measures, including compliance with National and State Electrical codes and NFPA70E (arc flash) regulations.
- Acts as a key resource for the completion of preventative maintenance on electrical substations and high voltage switchgear, including documentation of observations, testing, and follow-up actions.
- Collaborates as a team member on equipment project teams, safety teams, and continuous improvement teams to enhance operations, including safety, quality, service, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- 2-8 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment or similar field
- Electrical Code training or other safety training seminars and courses
