Job Title: Environmental Manager
Location: Greater Portland, Oregon
A leading food/beverage manufacturer is seeking an experienced Environmental Professional who will be a key player in ensuring federal/local regulations are being met. This role has a heavy emphasis on environmental regulations and will be a subject matter expert in those areas. As the Environmental Manger you will ensure environmental compliance within the plant and across the wider organization.
Responsibilities of the Environmental Manager
- Ensure compliance with local/federal regulations in the areas of environmental safety
- Be a subject matter expert in the areas of health, safety and environmental
- Develop training material/train staff against the material in the areas of environmental safety
- Lead the team in sustainable development
- Work cross functionally to maintain environmental compliance is being met across the plant
- Perform environmental inspections and audits
- Maintain environmental program for the plant
- Drive sustainable efforts across the organization
- Conduct wastewater analysis
Qualifications for the ideal Environmental Manager
- Bachelor's degree in sciences strongly preferred
- Must have experience with wastewater treatment
- Gas emissions experience preferred
- 4 - 7 years environmental/engineering experience
- Knowledge of environmental codes/regulations
- Clear and confident communicator
- Experience in a manufacturing facility required
