Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance for facilities, equipment, and systems.
- Maintain logs and records to ensure the effective operation and cGMP compliance of all equipment and buildings.
- Operate and maintain the central utilities plant, including high-pressure steam boilers, water boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, air compressors, purified water systems, and wastewater treatment systems.
- Maintain the buildings and grounds, ensuring they are in top condition.
- Respond to service calls during and after regular hours, troubleshooting and completing in-house repairs, coordinating with outside contractors when necessary, and supporting manufacturing and other maintenance activities.
- Work during scheduled plant shutdowns.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: At least 3 years of facility maintenance and/or construction experience, especially in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, medical device, or food processing industries.
- Working knowledge of plant utility systems, including building automation controls, is highly desirable.
- Prefer experience and proficiency for securing Boiler Operator (High Pressure) certification and/or electrical licenses; already licensed candidates are preferred.
- Familiarity with HVAC and plumbing systems is advantageous.
