Our client is a leading global pharmaceutical company with a strong presence in the German market. They are currently seeking a Global Category Manager IT (m/f/d) to join their team in Frankfurt.
Job Overview:
As the Global Category Manager IT, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of global category strategies for IT procurement. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with business objectives and deliver maximum value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global category strategies for IT procurement
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure optimal pricing and service levels
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop procurement plans that support them
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and systems
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
- Manage procurement projects from initiation to closure
Mandatory Skills:
- Experience in procurement, particularly in Indirect Procurement
- Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience working in Germany
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in IT procurement
- Experience with e-procurement systems
- Experience in project management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, with a focus on Indirect Procurement
- Fluency in English
