Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the "Export Control" team both technically and disciplinary.
- Act as the Export Control Officer for the organisation.
- Implement BAFA requirements for the Internal Compliance Program (ICP).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for authorities, including customs and BAFA.
- Ensure compliance with foreign trade regulations across all levels, including organisational and process adherence company-wide.
- Oversee the organisation of tariffing and product classification.
- Prepare, apply for, and manage export licenses.
- Drive the continuous development and optimisation of the export control function.
- Provide training and guidance on export control requirements to ensure organisation-wide awareness and compliance.
Qualifications
- A completed commercial or technical degree/training, ideally combining technical expertise with commercial experience.
- Several years of professional experience in export control, with a strong track record.
- Preferably, several years of experience in a leadership or management role.
- In-depth knowledge and certifications in foreign trade law and export control (Germany, EU, US).
- Proficiency in ERP systems, shipping and customs software, including ATLAS and ELAN K2.
- Strong command of German and English, both written and spoken.
- A hands-on approach with a results-oriented mindset.
