We are looking for a highly skilled Head of Finance to join our headquarters in Switzerland, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing our financial operations and driving success across Africa.
Position Overview:
As the Head of Finance, you will manage a team of 5-6 finance professionals, supervising and guiding them to ensure excellence in financial management and compliance. Your role will involve close collaboration with our CFO, providing key support in P&L management, strategic financial planning, and fiscal mandates. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of the African shipping industry and its unique fiscal landscape, including the French GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), to ensure robust financial oversight and growth across our African operations.
Key Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in P&L management with a strong track record in financial leadership.
- Proven expertise in team management and supervision, with the ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
- In-depth knowledge of the shipping industry, with specialized experience in mining logistics and project logistics.
- Experience working in Africa, with a deep understanding of the African shipping industry, particularly in the oil & gas sector.
- Proficiency in both French and English is required.
- Strong understanding of fiscal mandates and regulations in African countries, including knowledge of French GAAP.
