My client, a Global Security Tech company, are looking for a new Global Head of Supply Chain, based in Munich.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive continuous improvement in supply chain visibility, agility, and resilience using data analysis and performance metrics.
- Lead the implementation and optimisation of the SAP ERP system, collaborating with IT and external consultants.
- Develop and execute the overall supply chain strategy.
- Support logistics for new product launches, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, shipping, delivery, and returns.
- Maintain detailed records, generate reports, and create presentations to inform management.
- Lead a global supply chain team in Germany and internationally.
- Build relationships with internal teams and external partners, including suppliers and distributors.
- Interpret legal documents such as contracts and import/export agreements.
- Understand accounting and finance principles related to supply chain management.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to identify and solve problems.
- Define key supply chain KPIs and suggest process improvements.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement timely solutions.
- Work with finance, sales, procurement, and manufacturing to select the best vendors and distributors.
- Propose and implement ERP interface solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
- Monitor and report changes in sales forecasts, budgets, business strategies, and capacity loads.
- Manage demand and supply planning cycles, optimising material loads across international production sites.
- Utilise best practices to plan, manage, and control S&OP to align with commercial, finance, and production plans.
- Review and act on supply chain KPIs.
Desired qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field; Master's preferred.
8-10 years of supply chain management experience, including 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven success in implementing supply chain strategies in an international environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organisational levels.
- Excellent knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and production planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis tools.
Expertise in SAP.
- Solid business acumen and ability to quickly establish trust with internal customers.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCP) is a plus.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
