We are working with a global leader in electronic appliance manufacturing in their search for a Head of Logistics. In this role you will be responsible for empowering your team to develop them as a unit and individuals as well as overseeing the Logistics, Warehousing and Transport including multiple 3PL sites.
As a Head of Logistics, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the Logistics function for the entirety of the UK - Oversee and manage the entire logistics operations, ensuring efficient transportation and distribution processes, develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain performance and coordinate with 3PL providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Managing multiple 3PL sites for D2C initiatives - Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, including negotiating contracts and service agreements and ensure 3PL providers meet company standards for delivery times, cost, and quality as well as conducting regular performance reviews and audits of 3PL providers.
- Intralogistics and warehouse management - Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accurate and efficient stock management, implement inventory management systems and practices to minimise excess inventory and reduce costs and conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
- Training and development of employees within the logistics/warehouse functions
