Job Title: Head of Plant Design Electrics and Automation

As the Head of Plant Design Electrics and Automation, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the design and implementation of electrical systems and automation solutions for the metal manufacturing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the plant designs are efficient, reliable, and meet the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the personnel planning and development in the area of Plant Design EA for rolling and strip processing plants.
- Develop and implement innovative electrical and automation designs to enhance plant efficiency and productivity.
- Manage and optimize various fieldbus systems such as Profinet, Ethercat, IO-Link, and others.
- Oversee the 3D modeling of electrical equipment and cable routes in 3D plant models, ideally in the AVEVA E3D environment.
- Administer and provide user support for electrical engineering CAE tools such as Comos, Intergraph SPE/SPI, and Eplan.
- Collaborate with the control cabinet planning team using Eplan and EEC to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our plant design processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all design and automation activities.
- Mentor and develop a team of engineers and designers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in plant design, electrical engineering, and automation in the metal manufacturing industry.
- Proven expertise in personnel planning and development in the area of Plant Design EA.
- In-depth knowledge of fieldbus systems such as Profinet, Ethercat, IO-Link, and others.
- Proficient in 3D modeling of electrical equipment and cable routes, ideally with experience in AVEVA E3D.
- Extensive experience with electrical engineering CAE tools such as Comos, Intergraph SPE/SPI, and Eplan.
- Fluency in German and English is required.
