Position Overview: The HSE Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental programs to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of HSE management experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating a strong commitment to fostering a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management and staff to promote a safety-first culture and enhance employee awareness of HSE practices.
- Provide training and resources to employees on HSE regulations, emergency procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement of HSE initiatives.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in health, safety, and environmental management.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and maintain all necessary documentation for compliance audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of HSE management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and influence teams at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH, or similar) is a plus.
