To support their ongoing growth, our client is seeking a skilled IT/OT System and Network Technician to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, administer, and support automation network components, including process and building control systems (e.g., PCS 7, Siemens View, MES).
- Monitor systems daily, ensuring the integrity and availability of hardware, software, server resources, systems, and key processes.
- Review system and application logs and perform scheduled tasks such as backups, patches, and updates for the production environment.
- Design and implement innovative network strategies to ensure continuous and highly available operations.
- Configure, install, and maintain new and existing network components, including firewalls, switches, servers, and VMware systems.
- Develop, document, and maintain SOPs for the installed automation system, adhering to ISO and GxP standards.
- Assist in preparing qualifications/validations and creating related documentation.
- Ensure reliable IT system operations in technical and cleanroom environments, with a focus on automation network maintenance, fault analysis and resolution, backup management, IT security, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in technical on-call service.
Your Profile:
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist or in process automation, or related qualifications.
- At least 3 years of experience in system and network administration.
- Strong knowledge of server and storage virtualization, SQL databases, scripting languages, and IT security (antivirus, firewall).
- Ideally, experience with IT systems for industrial automation.
- Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or food and beverage industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
