A leading food and beverage organization is currently seeking a Warehouse Manager on the night shift. The successful candidate will ensure a culture of safety, service, and cost efficiency. They will engage with associates, manage personnel, and oversee accurate and timely handling of products. We seek an experienced leader with a distribution center background in a union environment.
Responsibilities for the Warehouse Manager:
- Lead with a safety-first mindset to ensure all associates remain injury-free. Champion safety procedures and training.
- Oversee and develop warehouse associates through coaching, training, and problem resolution. Discuss performance with Sr. Warehouse Managers and address gaps.
- Maintain open communication to ensure efficient workflow.
- Supervise associates' work and productivity, driving engagement and retention.
- Build high-performing teams by interviewing, hiring, and reviewing performance. Coach on productivity and safety, and deliver disciplinary actions.
- Ensure accurate orders are staged and loaded on trucks. Oversee warehouse preparation for the next shift.
- Monitor operational data to meet productivity rates and correct behaviors through coaching.
- Designate dock locations for inbound carriers, stock products appropriately, and oversee replenishment to minimize shortages.
- Maintain warehouse and equipment safety, preparing work orders and requisitions as needed.
- Identify inventory shrink sources and develop action plans with the operations team. Recommend improvements for cost control.
- Regularly inspect for safety hazards and resolve or report them.
- Ensure compliance with Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and FSQA requirements.
- Schedule shifts effectively using planning tools.
Requirements for the Warehouse Manager:
- College degree preferred.
- At least three years of warehouse distribution experience.
- At least one year of workforce supervision experience.
- Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP, and other regulations.
