We have a current opportunity for a R&D Engineer on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Hong Kong. For further information about this position please apply.
Responsibility:
- Research & Development of Material
- Assist in theoretical research on innovative materials.
- Handling material inventory (move 25kg material if needed)
- Mix chemicals under instruction (mainly additives of plastics)
- Operate extruder to compound mixture of various plastics and additive
- Maintenance of the extruder and auxiliary equipment regularly, including cleaning after use
- Record daily consumption of chemicals and compounding parameters
- Operate melt flow index testing equipment if needed.
- Assist to maintain good laboratory environment
- Participate in Team projects with Material Team and other colleagues
- Travel to China and Southeast Asia plants if needed
- Report to Material Specialist
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree or above in Applied Chemistry/ Material Science/ Chemical Engineering/ Polymer Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
- At least 2 Years experience in Plastic Extrusion
- Very Organized, Tidy and willing to learn
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with strong analytical mind.
- Attentive to details, self-motivated and result-oriented.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Power point
