Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Orlando, Florida
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a Fortune 200 Automated Packaging Equipment Manufacturing company out of the Orlando, FL area. They are looking to bring on a new Mechanical Design Engineer.
Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:
- Provide standard machinery designs to address our customers' packaging needs and develop effective packaging processes.
- Use 3D solid modeling to design machinery mechanics from industry-standard designs, creating innovative solutions for customers' evolving needs.
- Ensure the accuracy of calculations in kinematics, dynamics, pneumatics, and servo motion analysis required for designing automation mechanisms and equipment.
- Create and maintain mechanical bills of materials in a structured format and submit them for manufacturing specific equipment.
- Develop assembly drawings for production and customer use, aiding in component identification.
- Assist in cost reduction and quality improvement of mechanical designs.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
- 3 years of experience in mechanical and pneumatic design of packaging machinery related to robotics (required)
- Proficiency in 3D modeling
- Knowledge of standard drafting practices
