As Operations and Planning Manager EMEA, our client is looking for someone with a passion within the Chemical industry and a strategic mindset. You will be responsible for developing accurate forecasts by analyzing market trends, optimizing the S&OP and planning processes, leading your own teams and upskilling them. Ensure alignment between supply chain operations and business objectives, and implementing innovative processes to improve forecast accuracy.
Most Important Tasks:
- Provide leadership to the planning team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Assume control over production capacity and stock levels to ensure customer service targets are met.
- Collaborate with industry groups to standardize and optimize processes.
- Manage the approved budget and implement corrective actions as necessary in alignment with senior management.
- Spearhead and support projects ranging from implementing new planning methodologies to IT system roll-outs.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, leveraging technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position; you should have experience working within similar sectors such as Chemical companies or companies within a highly regulated industry. Other qualifications include:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferably relating to Supply Chain Management would also be advantageous but not essential.
- Hold at least 5 years of experience in a comparable role within the chemicals industry (Or highly regulated production like environment).
- At least 2 years managerial experience of teams with minimum 4 direct reports.
- Exhibit strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams effectively.
- Proficient in conceptual thinking and possess digital acumen in relevant technologies.
- Strong analytical skills necessary when analyzing data related to KPIs.
- Showcase adept project management skills.
- Thrive in a dynamic, results-driven environment.
- Good communication skills when liaising between customers/clients alongside other departmental heads.
