A rapidly growing food and beverage manufacturing firm is looking for a high-level Plant Manager candidate to run a site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and approve production schedules while overseeing staff to meet production targets.
- Maintain optimal finished goods inventory levels and monitor daily inventories.
- Conduct daily team meetings to coordinate activities and review shipping schedules.
- Analyze production efficiency reports and assess key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Report directly to the Director of Operations in the absence of the Operations Manager.
- Ensure completion of all daily production and quality documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement in product quality and process efficiency.
- Communicate facility goals and address quality concerns with the team.
- Review daily microbiology results and investigate anomalies.
- Collaborate with the FSQA Manager on out-of-spec products and review Certificates of Analysis (C of A's).
- Ensure product safety and adherence to regulations and company standards.
- Assist the Quality Assurance team during plant audits.
- Oversee daily monitoring of the wastewater facility and ensure report filing.
- Review Clean-in-Place (CIP) records and perform random equipment checks with chemical representatives.
- Assess sampling techniques and sanitation practices for GMP and safety compliance.
- Provide essential training, including annual GMP and HACCP sessions.
- Uphold company core values of integrity, accountability, safety, and respect.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and encourage innovation.
- Review and authorize supply orders while maintaining documentation.
- Manage inventory levels of production packaging and supplies.
- Ensure functionality of all plant equipment with regular preventative maintenance.
- Review and approve work orders and daily maintenance reports.
- Propose capital equipment updates and recommend process improvements.
- Oversee annual Air Quality reports and coordinate completion of the EPA/Health Department's Annual Form R.
- Manage the Annual Hazardous Materials Inventory and Business Plan.
- Foster a safe working environment by modeling safe behaviors and supporting initiatives.
- Collaborate with the EHS Manager to review safety programs and training.
- Conduct daily safety observations during audits and ensure departmental compliance.
Supervisory Duties:
- Oversee management and employee activities, including hiring, discipline, and termination processes.
- Coordinate on-the-job training for staff.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage scheduling for full-time and temporary employees.
- Review timesheets, approve payroll, and manage overtime.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of food manufacturing experience
- 5+ years of management level manufacturing leadership

- Commitment to safety and adherence to protocols, including use of safety equipment.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills for effective liaison with upper management.

- Proficient in data entry, report writing, and program tracking; skilled in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
