Plant Manager - Fort Worth, USA
Job Purpose: This role is responsible for managing and defining the operational delivery plan for the site, considering the commercial benefits for the wider strategic plan. The Plant Manager will optimize the quality, cost, delivery, and safety performance of all site-based production and engineering processes. They will lead and motivate staff within their functional areas, ensuring they are well-informed, have ownership of their responsibilities, and can deliver business requirements effectively.
Accountabilities:
- Create a safe working environment across functions, focusing on health, safety, and environmental improvements.
- Manage manufacturing operations (packing and production), engineering, capital projects, facilities, and continuous improvement.
- Support commercial aspirations by delivering to plan OTIF, ensuring compliance and effective teamwork with the Head of Supply Chain and Quality.
- Integrate a quality mindset within all processes and employees.
- Collaborate with Technical teams to refine processes, ensuring robust products within specification and continuous supply to markets.
- Support Product Development teams in transitioning products from development to full-scale production.
- Escalate risks to the delivery plan and propose mitigation strategies.
- Operate within agreed KPIs, financial measures, and site plans to improve COGS.
- Implement new systems and processes as appropriate.
- Ensure effective GMP and regulatory standards are met, and employees understand their contextual value.
- Provide training, development, and management of people within functional areas.
- Support site culture transformation to a change-ready site, ensuring ongoing improvements and a strategic, proactive plan.
- Ensure effective two-way communication within and across functions, creating an inclusive, empowered working environment.
- Lead the site in the absence of the Site Director.

- Deliver compliant products OTIF, within budget.
- Improve quality processes, closing out OOS and deviations within agreed deadlines.

Person Specification:
Essential:
- Extensive experience in a compliance/regulated industry.
- Strong operational background in production, engineering, facilities, and compliance.
- Commercial and business acumen.
- Knowledge of process application, equipment, and integrated business systems.
- Experience leading a multi-disciplined/functional team through change.
- Proficiency in MS Office products.
- Experience in a GMP environment.
- Knowledge of production, engineering, quality, and facilities in a pharmaceutical environment.
- Knowledge of chemistry and microbiology.
- Experience with FDA, MHRA, and other regulatory bodies.
- Proficiency in MS Project and managing cross-functional projects.
- Good employee relations experience.
