Position Summary
Contribute to our company's success by managing assigned production areas to achieve:
- Timely production of agreed volumes at the specified quality

Lead safety, cGMP & ISO documentation, food safety, and all GFSI initiatives across the site. Support the Production Manager in resolving action items for these initiatives. Ensure compliance with food safety procedures and hold all personnel accountable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Recommend policies on manufacturing matters related to production facilities.
- Ensure effective utilization of production facilities and establish optimum manufacturing/process conditions.
- Ensure safe processes and work conditions.
- Prepare proposals for process development/optimization and cost reduction; liaise with the Engineering Department for effective implementation of approved projects.
- Recommend production standards and ensure their achievement.
- Select and train all production supervisors and operators under your management.
- Submit standards for chemical consumption and maintain them within approved limits.
- Control physical yield and energy consumption within agreed standards.
- Identify sources of environmental problems and propose solutions.
- Maintain an appropriate standard of housekeeping.
- Foster a harmonious industrial and human relations environment through effective communication with the workforce.
- Actively participate in quality or continuous improvement initiatives through root cause identification and improvement teams. Encourage and facilitate subordinate involvement.
The Ideal Candidate
Desired Background:
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of two years in an industrial manufacturing environment. Prior experience in an industrial chemical manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
