An industry leading government vessel manufacturer is looking to hire a two Project Engineers to their growing team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for either the mechanical or structural development of new construction vessels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working on either mechanical propulsion systems or structural projects related to new construction ship building.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and technical direction on assigned projects in accordance with the project scope.
- Design or review vessel mechanical systems which meet requirements set forth in the vessel specification, creating models, drawings, and detailed bills of materials.
- Confer with project Subcontractor design agents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience working on either mechanical or structural projects for new construction shipbuilding
- Familiarity with ABS Standards
- Experience working with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or Ship Constructor
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with a focus on team development.
