Position Overview: As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, engineering, supervising, ensuring safety, and closing out both capital and non-capital projects to support site manufacturing operations. This role applies the principles of engineering, chemistry, physics, and computer science to drive project development and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide project development skills, including capital estimation, project justification, budget management, and detailed engineering and safety reviews.
Complete project implementation, including project execution, contractor supervision, startup support, and coordination with site departments.
Develop and deliver training to site personnel on new or modified systems and equipment.
Offer expert advice on technical, systems, or process-related topics, and assist with commissioning new plant equipment and troubleshooting existing processes.
Conduct HAZOP studies and implement safety-based facility upgrades.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
5-7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in project/process engineering.
Knowledge of piping systems, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, pressure vessels, boilers, chillers, air compressors, and related machinery.
Experience in electrical distribution, controls, instrumentation (PLCs, DCS), and working in a PSM environment.
