Quality Engineer (Manufacturing) Needed for an automotive defense manufacturer!

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the successful production and delivery quality of manufactured products at the production facility. The Quality Engineer will work onsite at the supplier, supporting audits and continuous improvement at the manufacturing facilities. Ensure quality standards (IATF16949 / AS9100) and best practices are successfully implemented and managed with the supplier's Quality Management System. The Quality Engineer must have prior AS9100 and Final Assembly experience
Quality Engineer Qualifications:
- 4+ years Quality Engineering experience
- Manufacturing Quality Control and Supplier Quality Engineering experience required
- 4+ years quality experience in Automotive or Defense manufacturing field required
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related required
- Prior final assembly/Tier 1 Experience
- Working-knowledge of ISO IATF 16949 and the AIAG Automotive Core Tools
- LEAN Six Sigma Certification and/or experience
- Strong knowledge of quality control in assembly processes
Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the on-site team to ensure successful execution of the product
- Support and coach suppliers with Quality planning with the Program Plan
- Implement AIAG Advanced Product Quality Planning ("APQP") Process Design and Development
- Work with the supplier team to develop a comprehensive Final Inspection Report
- Issue Corrective Action Requests
- Implement continuous improvement in the facility
