As the Refrigeration Supervisor, you will play a vital role in overseeing our refrigeration systems to maintain optimal performance and ensure the integrity of our products. Your expertise in direct ammonia refrigeration, combined with your leadership skills, will be essential in managing a team and driving the success of our refrigeration operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of refrigeration technicians to ensure the smooth operation of our refrigeration systems, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Monitor and control the performance of ammonia refrigeration equipment to maintain accurate temperatures and meet production demands.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they become critical problems.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the safe and efficient operation of the refrigeration systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety awareness among team members.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production and quality control, to ensure seamless coordination and support for ongoing operations.
- Provide training and mentorship to technicians, fostering their professional development and enhancing their skills.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in refrigeration systems to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of direct ammonia refrigeration experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of supervisory experience, demonstrating effective leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, equipment, controls, and associated components.
- Understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Solid organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, stakeholders, and other departments.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts as necessary.
