Safety Manager - North Carolina
DSJ Global is currently partnered with an industry leading manufacturing organization who is looking to add a hands - on Safety Leader to their team in North Carolina. The Safety Manager will drive continuous improvement in health and safety performance while promoting an interdependent organizational culture. The role involves integrating health and safety processes into the overall plant strategy, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety laws and standards.
Safety Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain facility emergency response plans and ensure employee training.
- Assess and enhance manufacturing safety capabilities, covering operator tools, process equipment, facility operations, maintenance, and new technology.
- Lead and support compliance with Process Safety Management requirements.
- Support and maintain a Safety Strategy that drives improvement and implements required safety programs.
- Develop consistent Safety Standards across manufacturing locations, aligning with corporate strategy and local regulations.
- Drive the Safety Governance process to implement and sustain safety standards and programs.
- Coordinate industrial hygiene, safety, and health audits, and take leadership in addressing audit findings.
- Develop and deploy Safety Improvement training for all organizational levels.
- Lead and support the Safety team, ensuring alignment with OSHA guidelines and corporate strategy.
- Conduct safety, health, and environmental risk assessments for new and existing processes or equipment.
Safety Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health/Safety, Safety, or related subject.
- Knowledge of OSHA, PSM, ISO45001/14001:2015, and other relevant regulations and standards.
- Experience integrating EH&S management into overall plant operations.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in developing and deploying Safety Strategies and tactical plans.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational and presentation skills.
