We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, FSQA to lead and enhance Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs across our bakeries. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food safety regulations, quality management systems, and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement.
The Senior Manager of Food Safety and Quality Assurance will be responsible for:
- Maintain and uphold food safety, quality, and regulatory standards to meet industry requirements.
- Oversee the application and management of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Standard and British Retail Consortium Global Standards (BRCGS).
- Create and enhance food safety and quality assurance policies, ensuring they align with current best practices.
- Lead the Food Safety (HARPC) team in identifying and mitigating biological, chemical, and physical hazards.
- Regularly update and review Food Safety Plans to incorporate new regulations and industry advancements.
- Clearly articulate Quality and Food Safety objectives to all teams, ensuring alignment and understanding.
- Select, train, and motivate FSQA staff to maintain high standards of performance and development.
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions on quality, food safety, and hygiene practices for all relevant personnel.
- Perform thorough root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to address non-conformances.
- Aid in the development of new food products, ensuring safety and quality from inception to launch.
The Senior Manager of Food Safety and Quality Assurance will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years in the food industry with 3- 5 years of leadership experience.
- 5+ years in food safety and quality (HACCP, HARPC, USDA, FDA).
- Certified in HACCP and a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard.
- PCQI certification.
