Purpose and Scope
The Senior Project Engineer oversees design, procurement, construction, and commissioning for capital projects involving manufacturing processes, utilities, and facilities.
Essential Duties
- Manage multiple projects from scope development through construction and commissioning.
- Develop project plans, including proposals, budgets, timelines, and risk assessments.
- Act as the main contact for capital projects, ensuring timely delivery and coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Communicate and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
- Interpret P&IDs and manage project risks with mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to strategic and annual capital plans.
- Ensure compliance with organizational goals, policies, and regulations.
- Handle special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, and engineering firms.
- Knowledge of plant utilities, HVAC, clean rooms, and sanitary equipment.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office/AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with FDA, OSHA, and cGMP regulations.
- Strong technical problem-solving and team collaboration skills.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- 10 years of experience with capital projects in industrial, manufacturing, or pharmaceutical settings.
- Knowledge of mechanical construction and pharmaceutical manufacturing is a plus.
Working Conditions
- Field construction, laboratory, office, and manufacturing environments.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $140,000 - $150,000, depending on experience.
