A global leader in Outdoor Apparel and Sporting Goods is expanding its End-to-End Supply Chain capabilities in North America. With significant growth over the past five years, the company seeks a Logistics Project Manager to join their international PM team. The primary focus of this role is to optimize the Distribution and Transportation network, managing projects ranging from $10-40 million. The Logistics Project Manager will enable growth, improve speed to customers, and drive warehouse strategy and automation. Additionally, the role involves transforming channels towards Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and optimizing cost and quality of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project concepts and business cases.
- Define project scope, master plan, and risk mitigation.
- Lead project steering committees with senior management.
- Manage project resources, including budget and IT tools.
- Implement systems and process improvements.
- Monitor project progress and drive communication.
- Ensure change management and stakeholder alignment.
- Research and apply for government funding.
- Propose improvement actions and manage consultancy firms.
Qualifications:
- Strong project management skills.
- Knowledge of SCM, Logistics, Warehousing, and Intra-Logistics.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of French, German, or Spanish is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office, Power BI, Visio, and warehouse management systems.
- Lean management and continuous improvement methods are a plus.
- Project Management Certification (e.g., PMI) is a plus.
Experience:
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 10 years in project management, preferably in Logistics/Warehousing/Transportation.
- Knowledge of real estate and IT projects.
- Experience with 3PL warehouse providers and contract logistics.
