Responsibilities:
- Develop Sourcing Strategies: Create strategies for Fuel & Gas commodities to reduce risk, enable continuous cost reduction, and align with company goals on payment terms, cash targets, on-time delivery, and cost savings.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain key internal relationships to evaluate sourcing models, optimize product and service value, and drive compliance with category strategies.
- Launch & Recovery Programs: Enhance sourcing strategies to reduce risk and meet targets for these programs.
- Supplier Evaluation: Ensure a healthy supply base by selecting suppliers based on capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness.
- Strategic Sourcing: Conduct supplier analysis to develop strategic sourcing plans, identify new suppliers, optimize cost models, and ensure supply continuity for new product introductions.
- Vendor Management: Oversee vendor delivery of goods and services, issue purchase orders, and manage master data for accuracy.
- Cost Reduction Projects: Identify and execute projects to reduce costs, including planning, stakeholder coordination, and timeline management.
- Negotiations: Maximize value and cost savings through effective negotiations while minimizing risk.
- Market Analysis: Conduct research, benchmarking, and market analysis for assigned categories, providing market intelligence and anticipating strategic opportunities.
- Supplier Quality and Cost: Lead initiatives to improve supplier quality, cost-effectiveness, service levels, coordination, delivery, pricing, lead-times, payment, and risk compliance.
- Performance Metrics: Track and analyze annual performance metrics and sourcing trends against budget to demonstrate continuous improvement.
- Internal Consulting: Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders to build procurement strategies aligned with business needs.
- Make vs. Buy Decisions: Drive decisions for new products and implement strategies across the product lifecycle.
- RFIs and RFPs: Execute RFIs and RFPs, manage supplier negotiations, and oversee contract management.
- Contract Administration: Administer multimillion-dollar contracts, negotiating terms, pricing, technical requirements, and compliance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: Advanced degree with 3+ years, bachelor's degree with 5+ years, or 9+ years of experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Contract Negotiation, Material or Production Planning, Operations Management, Material Cost Control, or Master Production Scheduling.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Cryogenic Commodities: Experience with cryogenic commodities (e.g., oxygen, nitrogen, helium, methane, hypergolics) in supply chain, production, finance, or engineering.
- Cryogenic Logistics: Experience in cryogenic logistics within supply chain, logistics, finance, or engineering.
- Supplier Relationships: Established relationships with suppliers and vendors in the cryogenic sector.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills.
- Prioritization: Ability to prioritize to meet internal customer and company needs.
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-Oriented: Self-motivated and responsive to a fast-moving environment.
- Budget and Cost Analysis: Strong skills in budget tracking and cost analysis.
- Global Sourcing: Experience sourcing from a global supply base using various contractual models.
- Cross-Functional Projects: Proven success in cross-functional new product introduction projects, cost modeling, and negotiations.
- Data Analysis: Strong skills in data analysis using Excel, SQL, and PowerBI.
- Problem Resolution: Ability to identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems.
- Ethical Standards: Commitment to the highest ethical standards and integrity.
Additional Requirements:
- Background Check: Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral.
- Travel: Up to 35% travel required, including international travel.
- Work Hours: Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Location: Position based in Cape Canaveral, FL, with onsite work required. Remote work not considered.
