Position Overview: Seeking an experienced and motivated Software Specialist PLC to join the team in St. Gallen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming and configuring PLC systems, with proficiency in one or more of the following languages: SIEMENS TIA, Beckhoff, B&R, Fanuc, ABB, or Stรคubli. This role requires fluency in German and a passion for developing advanced automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement PLC software solutions to meet the specific needs of our clients.
- Program, configure, and test PLC systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, ensuring optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and mechanical engineers, to integrate PLC systems into larger automation projects.
- Conduct system analysis and feasibility studies to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of PLC solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and team members on PLC systems and software.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in PLC technologies and programming languages.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in PLC programming and software development.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: SIEMENS TIA, Beckhoff, B&R, Fanuc, ABB, Stรคubli.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Fluency in German is required; proficiency in English is a plus.
- Experience in the manufacturing, robotics, or automotive industries is preferred.
