Position Summary:
As a Strategic Sourcing Manager in Indirect Procurement, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies across a variety of indirect categories, including IT, professional services, facilities management, and HR services. Your primary focus will be on optimizing spend, ensuring supplier performance, and driving value through strategic sourcing and effective supplier relationship management. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and align procurement strategies to meet the company's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for assigned indirect categories to drive cost savings, improve service levels, and ensure quality and compliance.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain supplier relationships, lead negotiations, and secure contracts that deliver value in terms of quality, service, and cost.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, assess potential risks, and identify opportunities to enhance procurement processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams to understand their needs, ensuring that procurement strategies align with business goals.
- Cost Savings: Deliver cost savings and process efficiencies through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and process improvements.
- Contract Management: Oversee the contract lifecycle, from creation to renewal, ensuring contracts meet company policies and deliver expected value.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to suppliers and procurement activities.
- Sustainability & Diversity: Integrate sustainability and diversity objectives into procurement strategies, promoting ethical sourcing practices.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular reports on category performance, savings, and market trends.
Key Relationships: External vendors and internal stakeholders across marketing, finance, IT, HR, and more.
Requirements:
Education:
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
- Preferred: Master's degree.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in procurement, with at least 3 years in a category management role focused on indirect procurement.
- Preferred experience in a similar role.
Skills:
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Proven success in driving cost savings and process improvements.
- Solid project management and stakeholder engagement experience.
- Knowledge of procurement software and systems.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Additional Information:
- Travel: Ability to travel independently up to 5%.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour workday in an office environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 25 pounds frequently.
