We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Director to lead and optimize our client's (retail company) supply chain operations, based in Rotterdam. As the Supply Chain Director, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of products and materials through the entire supply chain, from sourcing to delivery. Your strategic vision, leadership, and operational expertise will be essential in driving the success of our client's organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's goals, including cost optimization, process improvement, and inventory management.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure the availability of high-quality products and materials.
Distribution and Logistics: Oversee the distribution network, logistics operations, and transportation to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery to retail locations.
Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and efficiency enhancements in the supply chain, implementing best practices to reduce costs and improve performance.
Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytics to monitor and report on the effectiveness of supply chain operations, providing insights for decision-making.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in supply chain management, with at least 8-10 years in leadership roles.
Strong understanding of retail industry supply chain practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in supply chain software and technologies.
Experience in managing logistics distribution networks.
Fluency in English - Dutch is prefered.
