We are working with a leading food production company that are seeking a Supply Chain Manager for their production plant near Breda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Design and implement an effective supply chain and logistics strategy to streamline the flow of goods from suppliers to customers. Provide strategic direction for local supply chain operations, including warehouse and transportation management, production planning, scheduling, and material release.
- Inventory Management: Ensure inventory accuracy throughout the supply chain. Oversee team activities related to the replenishment, handling, and warehousing of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products.
- Operations Management: Lead the development and implementation of supply and logistics policies, procedures, and activities to improve efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness. Supervise materials planning and control, procurement, inventory management, storage, warehousing, logistics, transport, and distribution.
- Supplier Collaboration: Build and negotiate relationships with external suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality goods and services that meet cost and timeliness standards.
- Budget Management: Oversee the supply chain operations budget, tracking the performance of all supply and logistics activities against established goals.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the Supply Chain team, including Coordinators and Analysts.
Main Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Engineering.
- 7-10 years of experience in Supply Chain and Operations within a manufacturing industry.
- Experience in people management.
- Proven experience in Production & Capacity Planning and/or Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
- Fluency in both English and Dutch.
