Title: Engineering Manager

DSJ Global is currently partnered with a Global Aerospace Component Manufacturer out of the Atlanta, GA area. They are looking to bring on a new Technical Engineering Leader that is responsible for leading, supporting, and assisting the Manufacturing and Quality teams on the production floor.
Technical Engineering Leader Preferred Skills:
- Comprehensive grasp of machining techniques, encompassing milling and turning.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and its integration into process and quality plans.
- Fluent in 3D modeling and drafting for manufacturing tooling and fixtures.
- Collaboration with engineering for new product development, ensuring manufacturability.
- Interaction with internal and external stakeholders, effectively discussing technical issues and presenting visionary manufacturing opportunities.
- Awareness of safety and ergonomics in implementing manufacturing processes, with the ability to suggest and implement changes.
- Strong capability in production troubleshooting, employing cause-and-effect analysis.
- Implementation of inspection methods and techniques, including interpreting Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) results.
- Leadership and management of the Quality Assurance Department, including the development and implementation of robust processes using lean principles.
- Ensuring controls are in place to maintain ISO, NADCAP, AS9100, and Customer accreditations.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, etc.) with 5-10 years of relevant experience and demonstrated hands-on manufacturing/shop floor experience.
- Ability to mentor, teach manufacturing technology, process techniques, and interface with all manufacturing support disciplines (Quality, Planning, Scheduling, Purchasing, Facilities, Safety, and Accounting).
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite, preferred experience with Siemens NX, CAD/CAM.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and 1st-tier suppliers.
