DSJ Global is currently partnering with a Industry leading Paper & Pulp Manufacture looking to add a Technical Manager at one of their brand new facilities. This is a exciting opportunity to be apart of a large fast growing team to help drive their business forward.
As the Technical Manager for Quality and Continuous Improvement, you will spearhead efforts to enhance product quality and optimize processes across our operations. You will lead and mentor a team dedicated to implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, ensuring that our manufacturing processes are efficient, effective, and continually improving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Management: Oversee and ensure the highest standards of quality in our Lumber products. Develop and implement quality control procedures and policies to maintain and improve product quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Identify opportunities for process optimization, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Process Optimization: Lead efforts to analyze and refine manufacturing processes. Utilize data-driven insights to develop strategies for performance improvements and cost reductions.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and develop a team of quality and CI professionals. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Project Management: Manage and execute key quality and CI projects from inception to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and emerging trends in quality management and CI.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and support for quality and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven track record in quality management and continuous improvement, with significant experience in process optimization. Experience in the paper and pulp industry is a plus but not required.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in Lean Six Sigma (e.g., Black Belt, Green Belt) are highly desirable.
