Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to drive our ocean freight business development efforts across Belgium. Based in our Antwerp branch, you will play a critical role in expanding our market share and strengthening client relationships within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets in ocean freight services.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including lead generation and prospecting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their logistics needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client solutions and delivery of exceptional service.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in business development within the ocean freight industry, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of the Belgian logistics market and ocean freight trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in Dutch and English (both written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
