To support their expansion, they are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join their team in Bremen or Hamburg.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Business Growth: Identify and secure new business opportunities in the freight forwarding sector, with a focus on paper pulp, forestry, and wood logistics.
- Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term collaboration.
- Market Insight: Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to develop strategies that strengthen the company's market position.
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and execute sales plans to meet revenue and growth targets.
- Tailored Proposals: Develop and present customised proposals, presentations, and contracts to meet client needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (operations, customer service, and leadership) to ensure seamless service delivery and a strong customer experience.
- Industry Representation: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and build industry connections.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in business development within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Knowledge of paper pulp, forestry, and wood logistics is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of international freight and supply chain operations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a focus on achieving and exceeding business targets.
- Fluent in English and German; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed.
