Job Summary: The Category Manager - IT and OT will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement strategies for information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) categories. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of IT and OT products and services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT and OT procurement, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for IT and OT categories, aligning with company goals and objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers through comprehensive market research and supplier assessments.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure optimal value and quality.
- Manage and develop strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with IT, operations, finance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities.
- Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to inform and adapt procurement strategies.
- Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the IT and OT procurement functions.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on procurement performance, savings, and key metrics to senior management.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, policies, and ethical standards in procurement activities.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional projects to drive efficiency and innovation in IT and OT procurement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT and OT procurement or related fields.
- In-depth knowledge of IT and OT procurement, market dynamics, and supply chain management.
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
