New Product Development & Commercialization Manager
- NYC (hybrid - 2 days WFH)
This role focuses on enhancing and managing the new product commercialization process for North America operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of identifying, developing, and managing co-manufacturers both within the U.S. and internationally. Responsibilities include developing new versions of confectionery products, seasonal launches, customer-specific updates, and entirely new product development from concept to market.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience in sourcing, product development, supply chain, and manufacturing operations, preferably in the food manufacturing sector.
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and Word.
- Demonstrated success in delivering product and process innovations and improvements in supply chain and manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- New Product Development: Collaborate with all business departments to develop new products from concept to production, acting as the primary liaison with co-manufacturing partners.
- Sourcing Operations: Manage project flow through co-manufacturer operations, drive innovation, and evaluate and manage the current sourcing network for comprehensive manufacturing resource oversight and contingency planning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Marketing, Sales, Quality, and Procurement to ensure timely and flawless execution of new product innovations and launches.
- Developing New Products and Suppliers: Identify and develop new suppliers with unique technologies and products, and work with existing suppliers to implement new technologies to improve or develop products.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in process-oriented manufacturing
- Proven success in leading cross-functional project teams.
- Strong project management and negotiation skills.
- Experience in confectionery and plastics technology is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related degree is a plus.
