Position Summary: The Director of Maintenance is responsible for ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with FAA regulations and company quality standards, the maintenance team has the right skills, training, tools, and equipment to operate in a safe and efficient manner, the accuracy of bid quotes, and positive, professional relationships are developed and maintained with current and prospective customers.
Key Responsibilities of Director Of Maintenance:
- Directs and manages all aircraft maintenance activities and efforts, including scheduling and labor utilization, to ensure aircraft are repaired and maintained in accordance with FAA regulations and standards and KA quality standards.
- Provide accurate quotes on presented information during the acquisition of new contract bids to the General Manager.
- Ensures priorities for repair and modification are followed and completed on schedule, within budget and within FAA and KA standards and regulations.
- Communicates and works with the General Manager and others on any required adjustments to the maintenance schedule and budget.
- Leads, manages, and assigns tasks to a team of air frame, power plant, and sheet metal structural technicians according to individual levels of authorization and FAA A&P certification level
Qualifications:
- 10 years experience in aviation management (Corporate aircraft and air transport category, specifically maintaining complex, large category, multi-engine, turbine-powered, fixed wing aircraft to include complex air frame modifications)
- A&P Mechanics License is required
- MISA (preferred), Access, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Internet software, MS Project Management, E-mail.
- Inspection Authorization preferred
