About the Role:
A leading food and beverage company is seeking a Director of Transportation to lead a team and manage operations. You will use your expertise in transportation operations to guide personnel and drive efficient transportation processes, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely daily outbound shipments to customers and distribution centers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Achieve safety, service, and cost targets.
- Lead strategic planning and daily operations.
- Develop and coach Transportation Managers and staff.
- Ensure compliance with DOT and other regulations.
- Improve processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Monitor production goals and troubleshoot delivery issues.
- Attract and retain talent, building high-performing teams.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum seven years in transportation/delivery management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
