Job Description:
Position Overview: The IT Purchaser will be responsible for the procurement of IT products and services necessary for the company's operations. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of IT equipment, software, and services. The IT Purchaser will work closely with the IT department, finance team, and other stakeholders to align procurement activities with the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for IT products and services.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
- Manage the procurement process from order placement to delivery and installation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations and maintain an updated supplier database.
Inventory and Asset Management:
- Track and manage IT inventory levels to ensure availability of necessary equipment and software.
- Coordinate with the IT department to forecast future IT needs and plan procurement accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets and oversee their life cycle management.
Cost Control and Budgeting:
- Monitor and control IT procurement costs to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Stay informed about market trends, new technologies, and advancements in the IT sector.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
