Role Overview:
As a Remote IT Category Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing and management of IT-related categories, including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Oracle solutions, and telecom services. The role involves driving cost efficiency, improving supplier relationships, and ensuring that our IT procurement processes align with overall business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and legal departments, to establish best-in-class procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end category management for IT, SaaS, Oracle, and telecom categories.
- Develop and execute category strategies that optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable sourcing strategies.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring continuous improvement and value delivery.
- Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends and potential vendor opportunities.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with IT, SaaS, Oracle, and telecom providers, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance standards.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in the IT procurement lifecycle.
- Ensure timely delivery of technology solutions and services, managing any risks or issues that may arise.
- Monitor and report on category performance, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and enforce procurement policies and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards, particularly in relation to software licensing and telecom regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT procurement, category management, or sourcing.
- Strong background in managing SaaS, Oracle, and telecom categories.
- Proven experience in developing and executing category strategies to deliver cost savings and value.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier contracts.
- Familiarity with IT procurement processes, including software licensing, telecom services, and cloud solutions.
- Ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and legal departments.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of procurement tools and systems, preferably SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
