An Industrial Manufacturing company that has partnerships with Tesla, Microsoft, and Google is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their rapidly expanding team! This role will play a pivotal part in enhancing individual processes, tools, and machinery to boost quality, productivity, and efficiency while minimizing waste. Collaboration with various departments and product lines will also be integral to the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and support the creation of the product
- Innovate techniques, protocols, and tooling to elevate manufacturing capabilities.
- Update work instructions to reflect process modifications.
- Identify and resolve manufacturing process and machinery challenges.
- Collaborate effectively with production teams and fellow engineers to troubleshoot issues.
- Initiate proactive measures to enhance manufacturing procedures.
- Create, refine, and manage drawings, as well as maintain the enterprise resource planning system for labor routers and bills of material.
- Provide insights and guidance in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, brazing, and other pertinent areas.
- Adhere to priority tasks and seek guidance from the manager when needed.
- Implement and enhance process control plans.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or relevant engineering field from an accredited program.
- Exposure to Lean manufacturing practices.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as Solidworks and/or AutoDesk Inventor.
- Familiarity with numerical analysis and fatigue assessments (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent interpersonal, technical, and communication skills.
- Adaptability in fast-paced environments with the ability to manage change effectively.
- Capability to conduct PFMEA studies (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- Conduct studies and validations on the production line when necessary.
- Plan, execute, analyze data, and compile reports for validation activities.
- Experience with PLC systems a plus.
- Critical thinking skills devoted to root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
